Hello again! It’s been almost an entire year (!) since my last post. It’s definitely because I was completely preoccupied with having a baby! Last August, I was so happy to welcome little Sebastián to the world! Life as a mom is awesome, and I’m finally finding the energy to post some more photos! Stay tuned for updates as I sort through all of 2016’s pics, and start to add 2017!

Drawing? Yes, please.

For an art teacher, it seems like I barely ever have an opportunity to make my own art! Paperwork, grades, lesson planning… It isn’t easy being the only one serving 40 different classes! That’s over 1,100 students!

So, to stay sane and happy, I make a concerted effort to get out and DRAW!
One of my favorite places to study shapes and colors? The Garfield Park Conservatory. Chicago has so many great FREE resources, and this is one of them!
