1st grade canvas painting
Some of the tigers have managed to escape to the halls of Tarkington!
Here are some photos of tigers and environments that are still works-in-progress. This means that they are unfinished! It is still good to look at them in progress, though, because we learn from taking a step back and simply observing what we’ve got! Then we have a refreshed perspective on our next step.
Here are some fantastic students working together on their tigers and environments! These collaborations are progressing well and we are enjoying the process!
Some things I overheard today:
“This tiger is gonna eat something gooooood!”
“Yeah, I guess I really do want to paper collage a baby tiger the most.”
“Look! I’ve never done this before but I’m doing it now!”
Guided Animal Drawings
Way way way back, a long long long time ago in SEPTEMBER, we started our year off with some basic animal drawings. These are some awesome examples of the variation possible in a simple art lesson; even though everyone was using the same basic shapes, we all chose different environments to place our animals in! Or we chose different colors… Even different sizes of animals!
We are unique artists, each with our own perspective and approach to creating!
